Eee PC.
The Eee PC is an utlra portable sub notebook computer. The Eee PC was released by Asus on October 16, 2007 in Taiwan(4G Model). The original models weighed in @ 928g(1.12kg including power adapter.) and it measured 225 x 165 x 35mm. Improvements have mean made on the latest models, including Windows as standard(not all would agree its the way forward.)
It is based on the Intel 915GM chipset and is powered by a 900MHz Intel Celeron processor. Gaming machine it is not, but its a godsend for emails, working on documents and spreadsheets. If you need a computer on the move the Eee PC is perfect.
The Eee PC will be many peoples introduction to Linux as the operating system is a custom Asus effort.
Original models came with a OS built on the back of a Xandros installation of Linux.
OpenOffice 2.0.4 and Firefox 2 also come pre-installed.
Although not suitable for all people, its a great budget laptop for those with little money.
